The ACA Ocean Racing Committee is excited to announce that the Gorge Downwind Champs festival has been selected as the host of the inaugural 2025 USA Canoe Ocean Racing National Championships!
Through the ACA ORC's partnership with the GDC organizing team, active members of the American Canoe Association may register for the 2025 Gorge Downwind Champs, and compete in ICF-aligned categories for the following national championship titles:
National Champion - Women / Men, 18-23 (U23)
National Champion - Women / Men, 24-39 (Seniors)
National Champion - Women / Men, 40-49 (Masters)
National Champion - Women / Men, 50-59 (Masters)
National Champion - Women / Men, 60-69 (Masters)
National Champion - Women / Men, 70+ (Masters)
Note: Age categories must have a minimum of five participants to qualify for a national title. Categories having less than five participants will be consolidated into the next-youngest category.

Looking further ahead for Nationals? The ACA has not yet announced the venue for the 2026 USA Canoe Ocean Racing National Championships. The Ocean Racing Committee will be issuing an RFP in the Fall for host organizations to consider. General expectation of timing for Nationals is mid-July to late-September, with with Continental Championships and World Championships.
