The American Canoe Association Ocean Racing Committee is pleased to announce the launch of the USA COR Paddle America Club (PAC) Championship, a new virtual competition designed to strengthen connections between the domestic COR community and the nation’s paddlesports clubs.
“The strongest ICF-spec Canoe Ocean Racing communities in the world benefit from established paddlesports club systems where athletes train together, race together, and represent their organizations together,” said Matt Drayer, Chairperson of the ACA Ocean Racing Committee.
ACA Ocean Racing Committee Vice Chairperson Greg Barton added: “The USA COR PAC Championship is an exciting addition to our national development program. It builds on proven international club models by introducing a competitive framework for paddlesports organizations located all over the country. ”
The USA COR PAC Championship will rank ACA Paddle America Clubs on their affiliated ACA members' combined results from participation in officially-recognized USA COR National Series competitions, and winners will be memorialized by the ACA at the end of each calendar year.
The Ocean Racing Committee is currently assembling the dataset which will drive the PAC Championship. Rankings will be published on this page as soon as the information has been validated, so be sure to check back regularly.
Starting up a Paddle America Club can be a rewarding experience for you and your community!
