USA COR Championships are a key component of the ACA’s National Development Program, and serve as season focal points for many of our country’s paddlers. In addition, USA COR Championships serve as pathways to hosting and participating in higher-level international competitions, including Pan American Continental Championships, World Cups, and World Championships.
The American Canoe Association Ocean Racing Committee is currently seeking proposals from Local Organizing Committees (LOCs) to host USA Canoe Ocean Racing (COR) Championships at the State and National levels. Local Organizing Committees are encouraged to leverage existing competitions and/or race courses for these Championships, however proposing standalone championship events is acceptable as well. Selected LOCs will receive guidance and support from the ACA via the Ocean Racing Committee to promote and produce safe, challenging, and memorable experiences for participants and personnel.
